Our Story.
In 2005, Compadre LLC created an in-house packaging testing Lab to support its current packaging design customers. In February of 2006, that packaging testing laboratory became certified by International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) to test and certify packaging.
In 2009, the business model changed by offering 3rd party testing services. By 2013, the Lab reached a milestone of completing packaging testing projects for over 300 new customers.
In 2015, the decision was made to have the Lab become a stand-alone business managed by Henry Heil and Tim Willis. In honor of its history, the new company was named Compadre Labs LLC.
In 2018, Compadre Labs became part of the Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network (APASS) to test and certify Amazon product packaging solutions that meet PFP, SIOC, or FFP.
In January 2020, Compadre Labs continued its expansion by acquiring a new environmental chamber capable of conditioning unitized pallets. Later that year in August, Compadre Labs moved the testing laboratory to a brand-new facility in Hutto, Texas (North Austin). The new facility offered more testing and warehouse storage space increasing the capacity for future business.
On December 9, 2020, after four years of continued growth, the management team, Henry Heil and Tim Willis, created the company Compadre Labs Holdings LLC and purchased 100% interest in the laboratory.
In 2021, another large environmental chamber was added giving the capability to simultaneously condition multiple unitized pallets.
